Design and Implementaion of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) Control based on Integral Terminal Sliding Mode Technique

author

Abstract:

Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor because of high energy storage capability is very important in electrical drive industry. Speed control of this motor suffers from parameter variations such as variable inductance. In this paper, The Integral-Terminal Sliding Mode Control (ITSMC) method is used to control the speed (torque) along with d-axis current control. This method is like to classic sliding control robust to is motor variable parameters variations, in addition has higher dynamic response and in a finite time its output error will converge to zero. In this paper, results of simulation with Simulink/Matlab and experimental implementation of ITSMC based on TMS320F28335 processor are presented.

Permanent Magnet DC Motor Sliding Mode Control System

In this paper a sliding mode controller (SMC) is designed for a permanent magnet direct current (PMDC) motor to enhance the motor performance in the presence of unwanted uncertainties. Both the electrical and mechanical signals are used as the inputs to the SMC. The complete motor control system is simulated on a personal computer with different design parameters and desirable system performanc...

Adaptive position tracking control of permanent magnet synchronous motor based on RBF fast terminal sliding mode control

This paper focuses on the performance improvements of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) using vector control. In this paper, a neural adaptive sliding mode control algorithm is proposed to accomplish the position tracking of the field-oriented control (FOC) for PMSM. The proposed algorithm is presented by combining the fast terminal sliding mode (FTSM) with the radial but also solve...

On Position Sensorless Control for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Based on a New Sliding Mode Observer

For the problems of buffeting and phase delay in traditional rotor detection in sensorless vector control of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), the Sigmoid function is proposed to replace sign function and the approach of piecewise linearization is proposed to compensate phase delay. To the problem that the output of traditional low pass filter contains high-order harmonic, two-stage fi...

Flux Sliding-mode Observer Design for Sensorless Control of Dual Three-phase Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

A novel equivalent flux sliding-mode observer (SMO) is proposed for dual three-phase interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (DT-IPMSM) drive system in this paper. The DTIPMSM has two sets of Y-connected stator three-phase windings spatially shifted by 30 electrical degrees. In this method, the sensorless drive system employs a flux SMO with soft phase-locked loop method for rotor speed and...

Field-weakening Control Algorithm for Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Based on Space-Vector Modulation Technique

We investigate the implementation of field-weakening control for interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM), and analyze the algorithm of field-weakening control in d-q axes. To deal with the problem that the dc-link voltage is not fully utilized when the voltage regulation is employed, we propose a new field-weakening scheme based on the space-vector modulation technique. The duty-tim...
